Real Madrid returned to work today after last night’s hard won victory over Ludogorets in Sofia (1-2). The players who started the Champions League match worked out indoors in the gym, with exception of Iker Casillas, Asier Illarramendi and Chicharito Hernández.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who suffered a painful knock to his left ankle from a hard challenge near the end of the match, was treated by the physiotherapists. The club did not make an official statement on the player’s condition, beyond the fact he had suffered the knock.
Real Madrid’s next game is on Sunday against Athletic Club, in the Santiago Bernabéu at 9pm.
