Álvaro Arbeloa wants to leave Real Madrid. According to television program El Chiringuito de Jugones, the former Spain defender realizes he has lost the trust of Carlo Ancelotti and will push for a transfer before the market closes. The right back was substituted in the 72nd minute of Real's 2-0 win over Córdoba and took this as the apportioning of blame for the side's unconvincing performance. Ancelotti justified the decision in the post-match by saying "the three changes were to give the team more dynamism."
According to El Chiringuito de Jugones, Arbeloa was also not pleased about the jeers he received from the stands on Monday when he was replaced by Dani Carvajal. The defender is said to be disillusioned with Real Madrid following the departure of José Mourinho, the two enjoying a mutual trust when the Portuguese was in the Bernabéu dugout.
Mourinho's Chelsea and Napoli, who are coached by Rafa Benítez, who brought Arbeloa to Anfield during his time as Liverpool manager, are both interested in acquiring the 31-year-old.
