La Roja: Four wins from four against Luxembourg

Zero goals conceded: Spain have faced Luxembourg on four occasions (always in friendlies) with a record of four wins from four. Spain’s last two visits to Luxembourg have resulted in two wins be the same 0-1 scoreline. 0-1 in February 1984 and 0-1 on June, 7th 2000, where Gaizka Mendieta netted the Spanish winner.

Two goals away from home: Luxembourg managed an incredible feat last Thursday: scoring two first half goals, something not achieved by their international team for the past 39 years.

No defeats for Spain: Luxembourg are one of four teams where Spain have won all four games played between both sides without conceding a goal. The other three are Armenia, San Marino and Liechtenstein.

No wins: The Grand Duchy side hold one of the two worst runs in international football history for not winning. Between 1980 and 1995, they put together a run of 76 consecutive games without a victory. The run was stopped after a win in Malta (0-1), but shortly after they began the second run of games without a win, worse than the first: 82 matches without a victory between 1995 and 2006. Now Andorra (currently on 69 win-less games) are a threat to beat this record.
