Spanish Police make 30 arrests in Madrid, Toledo and Ávila

Spanish Police made a series of arrests this morning in an operation relating to the death of Riazor Blues member (Deportivo La Coruña ultra group), Francisco José Romero, 'Jimmy', who died after fighting on the 30th of November in a brawl which involved over 200 ultras from Riazor Blues and Frente Atlético (Atletico Madrid ultra group).


According to El País, 30 individuals have been detained and amongst these detainees, two are direct suspects relating to the death of Romero. All are reportedly members of the Frente Atletico.


The operation has been coded “Neptuno” by the Police and is being carried out with the Madrid Intelligence Department and the Anti-Disturbance division of the police. The arrests have been made in Madrid, Ávila, Cuenca, Talavera and Toledo.
