The ex Portuguese international, Luis Figo, was present this morning at a promotional event with Xavi Hernandez where he analyzed the latest news at his formers clubs, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. He added that, as great as Ronaldo and Messi are, in his time as a player it’s possible that he played with players who were better than them.
Champions League favorites. "This will be the year of either Real Madrid, Barça, Bayern, Chelsea…".
Who do you think will win La Liga. "There is certainly a clear domination by the two traditionally strong teams, Barça and Real Madrid".
Who would you sign for your team if you were a coach? "Messi or Cristiano, two great players that are head and shoulders above the rest"
Your past. "I was fortunate enough to play with some fantastic players, both in my teams and as opposition. Players possibly even better than Cristiano and Messi".
Your future? "Do a course as a first team coach… I’m not sure if that’s for me".
