Sevilla coach Unai Emery spoke in a press conference after his side qualified for the Last 16 of the Europa League, insisting his side had beaten a big rival in Borussia Mönchengladbach.
“We’ve come through a big game. We knew playing on the counter would be one of our weapons and would be a key part of the game. We’ve won a knockout tie that could’ve been later on in the competition. That says a lot about how the Europa League has grown. It’s an important competition with a high level. That’s always exciting,” he said.
"Borussia Monchengladbach have a great set of fans and are also a really strong side,” he added. “There is no better way to grow than this and even more so by winning because its gives you a better chance in the comptetition, but now we’re going to think about the next game,” he said as his side face Atlético Madrid on Sunday.
