Griezmann, Mesa pick up player of the month awards

Antoine Griezmann has picked up the Liga player of the month award for January, The France International striker scored five Liga goals and provided two assists in the month and was involved in seven overall of his side's 12 goals in January. Griezmann also features in the LFP January team of the month, which is formed by: Diego Alves; Juanfran, Gerard Piqué, Nicolás Otamendi, Jordi Alba; Denis Cheryshev, Dani Parejo, Isco; Leo Messi, Luciano Vietto and Griezmann.

Meanwhile, Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa won the award for Segunda División player of the month, after his performances helped drive his side to the top of the table.
