Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola, who watched the Barcelona vs. Manchester City match last night at the Camp Nou was full of praise for Leo Messi and confirmed that it is "a privilege" to watch him play football.
Guardiola spoke to Catalunya Radio after the match and displayed his happiness at returning to the stadium where he won 14 titles as Barça coach. "This has been great. Barça played well and created plenty of chances", he added upon speaking to the Catalan radio station.
The current Bayern Munich coach preferred to watch the game with his father and friend Manuel Estiarte rather than take in proceedings from the VIP area. He was asked about this decision and Pep acknowledged that “it’s been some time since my last visit to the Camp Nou" and added that his season ticket location "is a great place to watch the game from".
Faced with the possibility of a tie with his old team in the quarter finals, Guardiola was keen to highlight the "good year" that his former club are having under the guidance of Luis Enrique.
