Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca is one of the few people who have has had close contact with Real Madrid midfielder James Rodríguez while he recovers from a fractured fifth metatsarsal bone. Bacca says that his Colombia team mate is keeping in good spirits and is not anxious to return before he is fully fit again.
“James is fine, he is in good spirits and he is in no rush to speed up his recovery process. He says that these kinds of injuries take their time to heal and can be difficult because you can be tricked into thinking you are progressing quicker than you are – you gain a week in the recovery time then suddenly, you’re four weeks behind schedule,” Bacca told WIN Sports. “We need him to be 100 per cent fully recovered for the Copa América”.
James suffered the injury to his right foot during the first half of Madrid’s league meeting with Sevilla at the Bernabéu.
