Bit by bit, Real Madrid’s 2015/16 pre-season schedule is taking shape. The club have already confirmed trips to Australia, China and Munich. The next destination that may be added to the calendar is a stop at the Ulleval stadium in Oslo. Madrid haven’t been to Norway since 2005 (when they faced Rosenberg), something that Valerenga are hoping to address as they negotiate a friendly with the Madrid club. Norwegian daily VG reported that club official, Stig-Ove Sandnes, informed them: “We have an agent working on it for us. The big teams are the most attractive, but they cost a great deal of money. Let’s hope we can pull this off”.
The interest is furthered with the recent signing of Odegaard by Madrid. Valerenga have a tradition of playing one pre-season game against one of Europe’s bigger clubs, having faced Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United in recent years. The viability of the game going ahead or not will have a great to do with scheduling. The dates for the domestic and European Super cups have yet to be formalized and much of Real Madrid pre-season will be determined by the next two months of the current season.
