Liverpool consider 50 million move for Karim Benzema

Liverpool want to solve their early-season problems in the January transfer window and they have a clear objective. The Daily Star is today reporting that the English club are willing to offer up to €50 million for Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

The departure of Luis Suárez has left Liverpool lighter in attack and the signing of the Madrid striker is being considered, with the newspaper reporting that the transfer could be possible in January. Liverpool have money to spend thanks to the sale of Suárez to Barcelona but they could face competition for Benzema with PSG also understood to be considering a move for the Frenchman, who could be tempted for a move home as Cavani’s replacement in the French capital.
