New York Cosmos and Raúl have reached an agreement which will see the former Real Madrid and Spain striker play for the North Americans as from January 2015, ESPN reports. The 37-year-old will travel to the States this week to formally sign a contract, committing to the club for at least two seasons. The ex-Madridista will combine playing in the NASL with coaching Cosmos’ youth team, which is due to be launched in the New Year.
Raúl visited Cosmos’ training complex at the start of October and met the squad and coach Giovanni Savarese during his stay.
