Piqué to start tomorrow in Del Bosque's expected eleven

Vicente del Bosque, who said in his press conference that he has decided on his starting eleven, clarified his decisions in the final training session before his side’s match against Slovakia on Thursday, the second match in the qualifiers for Euro 2016. The coach will go with with Albiol instead of the injured Sergio Ramos and Gerard Piqué will start. At full-back will be the two more experienced players, Juanfran and Jordi Alba.

In midfield, Koke and Cesc will accompany Busquets and in attack will be Silva, Diego Costa and Iniesta. The day before, the coach mixed things up so it looked as though Azpilicueta and Raúl Garcia will be starting, but in the end it looks like they will not. Spain will go with: Casillas; Juanfran, Piqué, Albiol, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Silva Koke, Cesc, Iniesta; and Diego Costa.

The pitch where the players will play in Zilina, where the national team plays, is hard and irregular, but in a better shape than what was initially expected. About 500 fans attended the open training session in a cool environemtn of 14 degrees.
