Arda and Mandzukic returned to training after international duty with their respective national teams. The Turkish player participated in today's session which was overseen by Simeone whilst Mandzukic carried out a recovery session in the club gymnasium after picking up a niggling injury in San Siro against Italy on Sunday.
The two players joined up with Saúl, Mario, Gabi and Siqueira. Moyá worked on a specific goalkeeping drill with Pablo Vercellone. Gámez didn’t train either as he’s waiting for the protection mask to cover his nose which he fractured last week.
Tomorrows training session starts at the later time of 1600 (CET) when Simeone hopes to have more of his international players back in first team training at the club’s Majadahonda complex. 13 players are still absent on international duty.
