Ancelotti to make changes tomorrow against Ludogorets

Ancelotti plans to implement changes in his team for tomorrow’s game against Ludogorets as a way of providing respite for certain players in his squad. With Madrid already through to the next round, the coach is keen to share responsibilities and be able to give a rest to regulars. Keylor Navas, who saved the team in Switzerland, will replace Casillas in goal. The defense is expected to change drastically with Sergio Ramos suspended. It’s anticipated that the same defensive players as were used in the Copa del Rey game against Cornellà will play: Arbeloa, Varane, Nacho and Coentrao.

The middle of the park is the part of the pitch where the side have suffered through injuries and where the Italian has fewer replacements available. James and Modric are in rehabilitation recovering from their respective injuries.Khedira didn’t train yesterday or today and he’s not expected to play against the Bulgarian side. It’s expected that Ancelotti will opt for: Kroos. Illramendi and Isco, who returns after suspension. Medrán may be used in the second half to give Kroos a respite assuming that the game is going the way the Italian coach anticipates.

Cristiano will not take a break. He will be accompanied in attack by Chicharito and Bale. Jesé is also expected to get a run-out as part of his recovery process. After 30 minutes of playing against Cornellà he had no after-effects from his recent knee injury.
