Neymar, after a first year at Barcelona that left more shadows than lights and was marked largely by the judicial process around the figures pertaining to his transfer from Santos, is now settling and has almost scored as many goals so far this term as he managed in the whole of last season. But he is not satisfied.
“I think that I can do much more, I did okay last season, but now I want more,” he said in an interview with Sport.
Additionally, the Brazilian forward took the opportunity to once again praise Lionel Messi, his team-mate in the attacking trident which is completed by Luis Suárez.
He added: “It is easy to play with the world’s best player. It is always easy to play with the best, easier than with those that are ‘more or less’. To play with him is an honour. When I saw him from afar, when I was in Brazil, he was like an idol for me. I thought that he was the best. Now that I am close enough to him I see that yes, that’s what he is.”
