Neuer: “I’m not amongst the favourites, that’s clear”

Bayern Munich and Germany keeper Manuel Neuer hopes to “just enjoy” this evening’s FIFA gala in Zurich and said he would be very surprised if he beat Cristiano Ronaldo or Leo Messi to collect the 2014 Ballon d’Or.

“I’m not amongst the favourites - that’s quite clear,” Neuer said on his arrival in Switzerland today. “My only intention is to enjoy myself tonight”.
