Simeone, No.1 on the PSG wish list to take over from Blanc

PSG, president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has lost his patience with Laurent Blanc and wants a tougher approach towards the dressing room. The Qatari has drafted up a short-list of possible replacements with Diego Pablo Simeone’s name as first choice on the wish list. If Al-Khelaifi is unable to convince the Argentinean coach to leave Atlético Madrid, his next options are Rafa Benítez (current Napoli coach) and then Michael Laudrup, who is currently looking after Qatari club Lekhwiya Sports.

PSG are currently four points behind Marseille in Ligue 1 with the Parisian team in the quarter finals of the Champions League where they play Chelsea. The problem for Al-Khelaifi is that he feels Blanc has lost the dressing room and outbreaks of indiscipline from various squad members are seen as a problem of Blanc’s lack of authority over his players.
