The negotiations between Porto and Real Madrid are already well advanced. The price has already been agreed: 30 million euros plus five million more in add-ons (number of matches played, number of trophies won). There is still one detail that has prevented the deal being completed, however. The commissions of the agents for brokering the transfer. There are three people from the Madrid end who intervened in the negotiations. Miguel Pardeza, a former sporting director at Madrid (he was fired in the summer), Paco de Gracia (also involved with the Madrid club but who left) and Óscar Ribot, a former head of the Madrid press and who also took part in the signings of players such as Casemiro and Lucas Silva.
Porto is a club that trades on the stock market and has to make public all of its operations. They bought 100 per cent of Danilo’s rights (part of them had been owned by DIS, the same company involved with Neyamr) and paid 13 million euros for them. But the 4.9 million euros in fees, carried out by president Pinto da Costa, were widely criticised. On this occasion, Porto have said that they will not pay a single euro. They want 30 million plus five million more.
Danilo has a year and a half left on his contract and he is expected to leave this summer. As is Colombian Jackson Martínez and he is expected to fetch between 35 and 40 million euros. The economic rights to these two players are also linked to a loan of 25 million that Porto asked from Novo Banco and they will be compensated in full once one of the deals has formally gone through.
