Jordi Alba came off in the 78th minute of Spain’s 1-0 win against Ukraine with signs of pain in the adductor muscle of his right leg. The left-back injured himself in a tackle, in which he tried to dribble past an opponent, but after striking the ball he stopped short and he put his hand to his thigh. After being tended to on the pitch, he made way for Juan Bernat.
In his press conference, coach Vicente Del Bosque said that the national team’s doctors had contacted their Barcelona counterparts and they decided that Alba will leave the national team camp to travel to Barcelona, where he will undergo tests to learn the exact extent of his injury.
