Lucas Silva open to loan move away from Real Madrid

It’s less than three months since Lucas Silva landed in Madrid and his name is already being linked with other teams. The midfielder currently finds himself with Brazilian’s Olympic team for friendly matches against Paraguay and Mexico, but speculation in Europe has linked him with a move to Porto in the last week.

Against those rumours, the Brazilian took the floor to state that he is only concerned with securing a first-team place at Real Madrid.

“I was astonished with the news, but nothing has arrived to me. I have a contract with Real Madrid and I want to fulfil it. I have already had opportunities and I think I have the conditions to be in the team and to play,” Lucas Silva told the newspaper Globo Esporte.

However, the former Cruzeiro man did not close any doors and admits he would value the option of a year out on loan. Something similar occurred in the case of his compatriot Casemiro, who is currently on loan at Porto and will return to Madrid in the summer.

He added: “It could be, it is a good option. But, as I said, I have a contract with Real Madrid.”

Since his arrival at Real Madrid, Lucas Silva has taken part in seven matches (six in La Liga and one in the Champions League), and he has started three of them.
