Real back in the hunt for Falcao

Real Madrid are back in the market to secure the services of Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, according to Le 10 Sport. The French daily claims the transfer of the Colombia international striker will cost Real 60 million euros. It had been speculated during the summer that Falcao would move to Madrid on an initial loan deal – costing the Bernabéu 12.5 million euros – ahead of a permanent transfer in 2015. However, following the recent interest of Juventus in signing the unsettled Monaco striker, Real is thought to have shelved the idea of a loan.

The sale of Ángel di María to Manchester United has provided the necessary funds to move for Falcao, who would follow his international teammate James Rodríguez in moving from the Stade Louis II to the Bernabéu. Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev would prefer to cash in on Falcao than send him out on loan, even with a sizeable fee on the table for doing so.

Falcao's wage demands of 12 million euros a season are a little high for Juventus' taste and if the Vecchia Signora decides to pull out of the chase for Falcao, Andrea Agnelli and Massimiliano Allegri will turn their attention to Manchester United striker Javier Hernández, La Gazzetta dello Sport stated.
