How do you face the game against Celta?

We’ll approach it well, with confidence after beating Real Madrid. We’re excited by playing in front of our fans, our people, but we’re facing a tough side and we know it will be difficult.

Will there be changes in goals?

We’re confident in the keepers. It happened to me against Almería, I put on Aranzubía and it ended up being a bad game, the journalists decided we hadn’t done what was expected and blamed me. I can’t tell you whether there’ll be more changes or not. I’ll do what I feel is right.

Did you lack solidity at the back in the Champions League?

The hardest thing to do is to defend while attacking, to continue to be a defensive unit while attacking well. The opposition the other day, it’s true they hurt us, but that helps us to get better and keep growing.

Do you have faith in rotations?

I always see what the team needs, as I see it. I can make mistakes, but I always pay attention to what I feel. For example, on Saturday at 4pm we’ve got a game against Valencia, I’m not complaining, but we’re playing on the Wednesday… I look at what the squad can offer, without dropping the ‘game by game’ philosophy.

I’m surprised, I didn’t know, the day I arrived I had the same desire as I do now. I’ve had some great moments and the challenge ahead is twice as big.

Was it a bad game against Athens?

When you lose it’s normally because you’ve played badly. Up front we had some good moments, but playing well is something else. It looked like we played well, but for me we played badly, we’ll try to do better against Levante.

What’s your opinion of Berizzo?

I like him, he did well in Chile. When he arrived we sent each other some messages. He’s got something of Bielsa about him, with similar ideas, they’ve started well, with the footballers responding well to him and tomorrow they’ve got another chance to keep that going.

Anything to say about Madrid’s poor start?

No. I’m not going to talk about that.
