Cristiano scores a hat-trick to break his duck at Riazor

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first ever goal at Riazor, one of the only grounds he had previously failed to score at, as he bagged his first hat-trick of the season.

Ronaldo had got his name on the score sheet on six previous occasions against Deportivo, all of them coming at the Santiago Bernabéu, including his Madrid debut in La Liga in August 2009. On that occasion Madrid won 3-2, with the Portuguese striker scoring one of the goals that gave Los Blancos their first three points of the season.

Ronaldo subsequently found the net on five other occasions, but was always denied on Depor’s home turf. After breaking his duck with a hat-trick, the only stadium left on his goalscoring list is Anoeta.

This season the Madrid striker will also visit Eibar and Córdoba, two venues he is yet to play at, and will travel to Anoeta in the second half of the season.
