"Cristiano isn’t obsessed with records, it’s in his DNA"

Cristiano is a "natural winner" who "always wants to win and break records", although this hunger is "not an obsession" but just something "natural" that is engrained in his DNA, commented the Portuguese coach, Fernando Santos.

"He’s not obsessive, it’s something in his DNA, and it’s natural. If there is a record to break, then Ronaldo will want to break it", the coach continued during a radio interview with the Radio Renascença network.

"I hope and desire and know that the honor he wants is a title for the Portuguese national team. If we could be crowned European champions that would be incredible", furthered the coach.

The 60 year old Santos admitted that the Portuguese aim is to lift the Euro 2016 trophy in Paris.

"Of course I’d like to win the Euro 2016 tournament that is also the ambition of our players too. We’ll fight hard in it’s pursuit. I feel it’s possible. If it’s possible for others, then why not for us?” he concluded.
