Granada captain, Diego Mainz, said today that Real Madrid, who the Andalusian club face next Saturday at the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium, is a team who "don’t offer you the option to fail" although he reflected that "it’s not impossible to beat them" something that Granada managed two seasons ago.
Mainz spoke earlier to the assembled press stating, "despite everyone being aware of the complexity of the game, the team’s objective is to secure the three points" and the team will "try to take advantage of chances when they arise".
"It’s not impossible to beat Real Madrid, it’s something we achieved two seasons ago and last season we beat Barcelona", reminded Mainz, he continued that on Saturday, Granada need to "dispute, fight and run more than the opposition".
Reviewing the teams run of five games without a win, the Granada captain pointed out that "the demands of the first division are immense and all teams are difficult", he indicated that "we are also experiencing positives but they fail to stand-out as our run of form is not good".
Speaking about himself and after playing for a while against Eibar last Saturday, Mainz added that he feels "physically good with positive sensations".
