Strike forces Zaragoza-Tenerife game to Monday

A strike scheduled for Sunday and organized by Real Zaragoza’s Corporate Committee protesting against possible redundancies at the Aragon club has forced the Spanish Federation to move the kick-off time of the fixture against Tenerife. The game will now take place on Monday at 2100 (CET) at La Romareda.


Official communiqué from the RFEF: "Given the exceptional circumstances surrounding the 11th week fixture of the Second Division between Real Zaragoza SAD and CD Tenerife SAD, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 at 1800 and in the interests of safeguarding the correct procedure of the competition as outlined in article 213 of the General Regulations of the RFEF, and as understood in the agreement between RFEF-LFP. We have decided to delay the playing of the aforementioned match to Monday, November 3rd at 2100 (CET). The change being made in the interest of the competition and being formally previously approved with the LFP".
