Real Madrid completed their final training session before Thursday’s Copa del Rey decider against Atlético with Álvaro Arbeloa unable to take part as he continues to nurse an injury to his right knee in what appears to be a recurrence of the injury which kept him sidelined for more than two months at the end of last season.
Long-term casualty Luka Modric, who was seen working with club physiotherapists at the end of yesterday’s session, worked inside the gym as temperatures dropped in the capital on Wednesday.
There were no surprises in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad list for tomorrow’s match: Casillas, Keylor Navas, Pacheco, Varane, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao, Marcelo, Carvajal, Nacho, Khedira, Kroos, James, Bale, Isco, Illarra, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Chicharito and Jesé.
