The pearl of Norwegian football, Martin Odegaard, trained with Real Madrid’s first team at their Valdebebas training facility on Thursday after attending the Madrid derby at the Vicente Calderón on Wednesday night. Despite training with the first team, the Norwegian, 16, will be incorporated into Zinedine Zidane’s Castilla side if he signs for the European champions.
The cost of the transfer of Odegaard, who made his debut for Norway’s national team at the age of 15 last October, has not increased as he will be a free agent from July. His current club, Stromsgodset, have had to sell him to raise funds.
On the other hand, the German newspaper Bild state that, although Odegaard has already trained at Real Madrid’s facilities, he is yet to sign a contract and could make his final decision at the end of January.
