What did you think of the Miranda-Giménez pairing at the back?

They improved as the game went on, as did the whole team. In the second half they were excellent both as individuals and as a pairing. Seeing as it was the first time that they’d played together I was very happy.

What did you think of Griezmann’s performance?

We’ve been saying it since November. He’s grown as a player and he’s just what we need. On top of the goals he scores I also really like how hard he works. He can play out on the wing but also anywhere along the forward line. His pace and talent make him really disruptive.

What about Torres?

I think he played with the same joy and enthusiasm as he always does. He scored twice in the Bernabéu and played very well against Barcelona. Little by little he’s getting used to playing with his teammates. When he has open space in front of him he’s a very difficult player to mark.

Are you already thinking about the Barça game?

First I’ll get some sleep. Our first priority was to win this game against Rayo. Now we’ll keep an eye on the Valencia-Sevilla game; whatever the score is we’ll be able to find positives. Then I’ll think about Barcelona.
