Castilla are leaders of Group II of Spain’s third tier of football, 2B. Coach, Zinedane Zidane has managed to turn things around for the Real Madrid ‘B’ team after they lost five of their first six league games at the start of the season. Today the French man saw his team overcome Fuenlabrada (3-0) with a fantastic performance from Burgui and Colombian, Narváez.
Both Burgui and Narváez, were key players in unblocking the Castilla team against a dogged Fuenlabrada, who played deep, clearly looking to try and sneak a something on the game on the break. The ex Rayo and Getafe veteran, Pachón was the sole striker and had a great chance in the 54th minute which brought off an excellent save from Borja Pérez in the Castilla goal.
The transformation which the Castilla team has undergone is considerable, from languishing at the foot of the table to now topping the division, a testament to Zidane’s continuing growth as a coach.
