"If we're at our best, we have a good chance of winning"

Real Sociedad visit the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday and ahead of the clash had a closed-doors training session, which Carlos Martínez missed and will be unavailable for the match. After the session, former Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero attended to the media.

Doubts at Madrid: "January is a difficult month for them; they have a lot of matches and they don't seem to be in the same dynamic that they were, but they have such a strong team and they are playing at the Bernabéu so we can't focus on their form. They are a lot more confident at home and we expect the best version of Real Madrid, but if they find themselves against the best Real Sociedad, we have a good chance of winning."

The full 90: "You have to be mentally strong, not only if they score against you but also if you score against them. We have a good example of how to do that from the game at Anoeta."

Set-pieces: "We have been working on everything. Sergio Ramos is probably the best player in the league in that aspect and we're going to try and stop him from getting a shot. In the return match we had a bad time with him, but we are also good from dead ball situations that we are exploiting now."

Bernabéu respect: "Things are never easy in this stadium for La Real, but for better or worse we've shown that we have the potential to score three in the Bernabéu. We're a much more mature side now than at the beginning of the season. If everything goes well, we'll have our chances but we're playing the best team in the world."

More compact with Moyes: "There are different. Defence for me is fundamental because if you don't know how to defend it's impossible to attack. It's true that when results weren't going as we wanted we didn't have the confidence to play how we wanted to. Little by little we're constructing a playing style that the fans will enjoy."

Real Madrid or Real Sociedad: "I'm where I want to be and I feel very lucky to play for Real Sociedad because of the ambition of the club and I'm not going to put anybody down. I was lucky enough to play for Madrid and that was a dream come true. I left because I wanted to."

Good form: "I feel good, I'm getting a good run of games. I work hard to improve and I'm not at the level I want to be and where I know I can get to; I can play better."

On-field leader: "I came to La Real to become an important player and I hope to that bit by bit. If I'm picked on Saturday I'll feel the responsibility of defending the shirt of Real Sociedad in such a famous stadium."

What will you do if you score? "I hope I do, I'd love that. But I won't show any joy out of respect for the fans that have always backed me. I won't do anything to offend the Real fans."
