Busquets: "They got the goal and closed things at the back"

Sergio Busquets talked about Barcelona’s defeat against Málaga immediately after the match.

Did Barça lose all of their individual battles?: “I don’t think there have been a lot of individual battles, they got the goal and shut things up at the back. They allowed us the flanks and we tried, but we couldn´t get the final pass in and we did not have clear chances. We suffered because of offsides a lot.”

Málaga left both flanks free to attack: “They had two banks of four and they were very focused. In the middle it was impossible to play. We tried to respond but we couldn’t.”

Wasted chance to put pressure on Madrid: “Yes, it’s unfortunate, not only to be leaders but to miss out on three points and to continue the good run.”

Will the result have an impact on the Champions League?: “No, I think with the Champions League we’ll play a different way, with a different team. It will be difficult but it is another competition, it’s a knockout tie. The team must continue the form we had.”

On Messi’s performance: “It was not the best game for Messi or any of us. It should not centre on one player.”
