Atlético Madrid held a training session at 16:00 (CET) on Friday afternoon to prepare for their upcoming game against Sevilla in La Liga (19:00, CET). Simeone had virtually his whole squad available, with the exception of Siqueira, who picked up a knock in Los Rojiblancos’ Champions League tie against Bayer Leverkusen, and Saúl. Koke resumed training with the rest of his team-mates.
The big news in Simeone’s side is the inclusion of Jesús Gámez, who is set to replace Siqueira on the left. Raúl García is likely to start from the off in Seville, but the choice between Arda and Koke remains a more complex issue as the Argentinian coach will have to make a choice between the two for that creative spark in midfield. Simeone’s probable starting XI is: Moyá, Juanfran, Miranda, Godín, Gámez, Raúl García, Tiago, Gabi, Arda Turan or Koke, Griezmann and Mandzukic.
