Alvaro Arbeloa to play in the all-star Liverpool charity match

Alvaro Arbeloa has announced that he will play in a charity match alongside other past and present stars of Liverpool. The match takes place on March 29 and Arbeloa announced his inclusion on Instagram, telling Steven Gerrard: “I’ll be there”. The match will be made up from past and present Liverpool players and the teams will be led by current club captain Steven Gerrard and former vice-captain Jamie Carragher.

Liverpool’s official websites has also announced the presence of Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina, Fernando Torres, Luis Suárez, John Terry and Thierry Henry.

The match will also serve as a special farewell to Gerrard, who will leave Liverpool at the end of the season. The match has been organised by the Liverpool FC Foundation and Alder Hey Children's hospital will be the main beneficiaries from the proceeds from the match. Ticket sales will start on March 11 and they are also available on the day.
