Ancelotti: “I see myself here next season, with Casillas”

Carlo Ancelotti attended the press on Friday and looked ahead to Real Madrid’s meeting with Málaga at the Bernabéu tomorrow.

Benzema: “He’s not available for tomorrow’s game but we should recover him for the next game. We’ll put out the best team possible in order to beat a dangerous side who are doing well. I won’t be making changes to the team’s formation. Benzema should be able to play against Atlético”.

How do you envisage your future and Casillas’? “I see myself here at Real Madrid next season, with Casillas and with all of the others who are doing a good job. It’s not an important question at this point in time. We are focused on what we need to do”.

Goalless draw at the Calderón: “What pleased me was seeing the team play well. That is what counts. After that, we can look at the result; overall I was happy with how we performed during the game”.

Isco on the bench: “Isco doesn’t regard it as losing his place in the side because he played the previous league game. Right now, no game is more important than another – every game we play from now onwards is important. Isco’s fresh and in good shape, like the rest of the squad and he’s available for when we need him. He’s happy, and we are happy with him. He’s had more continuity and played more than he did last season. He has tremendous quality and he’s a fundamental part of the team”.

Coentrão, not match fit: “Those who are in the best shape will play tomorrow. It’s not a game for giving minutes to those who need to build up rhythm – it’s a game we have to win to continue our run of results. Coentrão won’t play tomorrow”.

The Bernabéu: “The team’s showing its best side and I’m sure that the fans will continue to give us support with the same intensity as always”.

Chicharito or Isco: “I’m still thinking about the line-up; I’ll make my decision later”.

Deciding against rotating the squad: “I don’t regret not rotating”.

Who might be a better keeper than Casillas? “It’s not for me to list a ranking of goalkeepers; I have three very good goalkeepers who I am happy with. The best goalkeepers in the world are the ones I have in my squad. I’ve never spoken about signing another goalkeeper”.

Málaga: “It’s a dangerous game for us; Málaga did well against Atlético and beat Barcelona. We’ve taken that on board and we’ll need to exert the maximum energy possible to beat them”.

Barcelona’s game: “I’ll probably go the cinema again... (laughs). I don’t think I’ll be watching it because I am too busy concentrating on us, although it looks like it will be a good game”.

Khedira in the list against Atlético but Lucas Silva omitted: “I don’t look at player’s contract when forming my list; I choose whoever is ready to play”.
