Jesé: "The future? I want to leave Madrid when I’m 40"

Jesé acknowledged yesterday after the home win against Eibar that his path to recovery after his injury was hard, but he always felt the support of Carlo Ancelotti, the president and all his teammates. “I’ve always felt that the club was behind me, from the coach to the president and the rest of the squad. I had to be mentally strong and never stop working on my recovery”, he added on his recovery process after his cruciate ligament injury.

Scoring: “It makes me happy. Scoring at the Bernabéu is incredible. even more so in these games where the opposition sit very deep”.

Atlético: “We’ll face them with plenty of anticipation being aware that the return leg is at home. We need to get a decent result and show why we’re Real Madrid”.

Unhappy: "A football player encounter situations that are not to his liking, but one has to understand the role of the coach too. I’m here to help the team. Anything the coach affords me , well I’m grateful for that".

Future: "I’ve no intention of leaving. I’d like to retire here. I arrived at the club when I was 13 years old. I’m now 22 and I’d like to leave the club when I’m 40. I’m so happy here and this is my lifelong club".

The option of going out on a loan deal: "It’s not something I’m contemplating as I’ve shown I can play here. I‘m striving towards staying here".

Champions League: "We’ll give our all at the Calderón but it’s at the Bernabéu where we need to kill off the tie. Atlético always make things difficult".
