Mario Mandzukic returned to training with the rest of his Atlético Madrid teammates this morning after getting the all clear from his tenosinovitis injury. The club officially confirmed that he was given a clean bill of health by the team medics and will be available for selection for Tuesday’s key Champions League tie against Real Madrid.
It looks likely that the Argentinean coach will be able to call upon the services of Raúl García as well, as everything points to him getting the medical green light after his injury. He trained this morning with a bandage on his elbow and will analyze the session with club doctors. If the result is positive then it’s anticipated that he too will make Simeones’s squad list for the game on Tuesday.
All of the players who featured in the game in Malaga carried out light recovery work whilst Oblak trained with the rest of the squad players.
Ateti will train tomorrow at the Calderón ahead of the Champions League game on Tuesday against eternal city rivals, Real Madrid.
