Real Zaragoza SAD staff will start an indefinite strike this Wednesday, which coincides with the day when 210 staff were due to be made redundant by the club.
A communique issued this evening by local union organizations who confirmed the “failure” of meditation agency (SAMA) which coincided with the legal consultation process, has triggered this strike action.
According to the union bodies, the board of administration of Real Zaragoza SAD has shown its “real side”, not by the business decision but in the way they have handled and transmitted "false and partial information".
In their opinion, it’s "unjust and unacceptable" that 210 employees of Real Zaragoza can be made redundant as a “whim” of the club auditors who want to wipe away all club employees, a decision worse than maintaining the club’s current structure.
Alarm bells have also been sounding regarding the new club sponsor and the securing of funds to pay-off the future redundant workers.
