Luis Enrique will still rely on Dani Alves at right-back for this afternoon’s derby match against Espanyol. The Spanish coach has omitted Douglas, Montoya and Marc Bartra from his squad for the first Catalan derby in La Liga this season. Bartra put his name forward this week as an emergency right-back if needed. Sergi Roberto and the injured Vermaelen are also not in the squad.
Squad to face Espanyol:
Goalkeepers: Bravo and Ter Stegen.
Defenders: Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Mathieu, Jordi Alba and Adriano.
Midfielders: Busquets, Rakitic, Xavi, Iniesta and Rafinha.
Forwards: Pedro, Messi, Munir, Suárez and Neymar.
