"Real Madrid is a machine; the rest are just teams"

Fabio Capello, currently the Russian national team coach, stated late on Monday that Real Madrid, the team where he coached from 1996-1997 and 2006-2007, "is a machine" and the rest "are just teams".

"The most important thing is maintaining what they have achieved since the beginning of the season. One could say that other team’s are not at Madrid’s level. Real Madrid is a machine, the rest are just teams. Teams with great quality players, but not the same machine that Madrid is", commented Capello during the show 'Al Primer Toque', on 'Onda Cero' radio.

“Real Madrid are from another planet. This year (Carlo) Ancelotti has done a fantastic job. He has the team believing that they are the best", he added.

"The are desperate to win every game, they have everything, they defend well, great midfield and a great talent in attack. Possibly one of the best teams of all times".

Capello also made reference to Barcelona: "A coach always knows better than the rest of us and will always look for solutions to problems that arise and to field players in the position that he feels they will be best suited to. I would argue that Luis Suárez is not suited to playing on the wing, a natural marksman loses 50% of his goal scoring potential playing on the wing".

"He needs to be in the middle not on the wing. Suárez is one of the best center forwards in the world and this is why I feel Luis Enrique is looking for a solution to this tactical situation. I don’t see this Barcelona side with the same hunger to recover the ball or with the same quick passing game as previous Barça sides...", furthered the Italian.

Reviewing the Champions League draw, Capello felt: "I think FC Barcelona have the toughest draw. Manchester City have been lucky to qualify and they lack certain things, speed and hunger. But when February comes around they will have their injured players back playing and Kun is expected to be fit them too".

Capello heaped praise on Sergio 'Kun' Agüero and feels that he is one of the most important players in modern world football as he can always provide danger and goals.
