“I’ll quit if my players don’t follow me; that hasn’t happened”

Luis Enrique’s press conference before the Atleti match tomorrow (Camp Nou, 9pm) understandably had its fair share of questions on the coach’s position, after a week of rumours about a rift between him and his star player Leo Messi.

The Barcelona coach however appeared to be in a positive mood about the situation and when asked whether he’d leave Barça he had this to say: “I’ll quit if my players don’t follow me and that hasn’t happened. I feel stronger and more optimistic every day, it must be that I like the fuss, the noise. You get used to everything”.

Tension with team

We’ll have tension all season. If we win La Liga maybe some will relax then.
