Moyes: "I'd be delighted if Illarramendi came here"

Real Sociedad have not made their Desire to bring Asier Illarramendi back to Zubieta public yet, but the appearance of Athletic in the running to secure the defensive midfielder's services has led the txuri-urdin to make overtures to one of the best players to have emerged from their youth academy in recent years.

David Moyes used his Friday press conference to express the club's desire to bring Illarramendi back to Anoeta. "I know the player and his qualities well. When I was at Everton I looked at him. It seems that Real Madrid don't want to use him and I'd be delighted if he came here, but we need all the information from Madrid so that we can see what might happen."
