Efficient and effective display: “In any game it’s important to be efficient. Trying to dominate is also important. This was an historic game for both clubs and it turned out to be a really great day. We put in a serious display against a team who presented us with a lot of problems”.
Sergi Roberto: “He enjoyed a spectacular game which isn’t easy for a player who hasn’t had so much playing time. He’s at a great level because he is training very hard. He covered all parts of the pitch, his distribution was good, he never lost the ball, he was great in the air… He is a very complete player. I know him very well and it’s a shame for me that I can’t give him more minutes than he’s getting. He’s showing that he could be a very important player for Barça”.
Next week’s Clásico: “We’ll be going into that game in perfect form and as leaders. I don’t consider next week’s match as being the most important one, but we have a very attractive week of games lined up; one in which we could seal our place in the semi-finals – or not, because City are a quality side. We’ll see how it all pans out”.
Eibar: “To me they don’t look like anything like a side who have lost their last eight games. They showed today that they are a very hard-working team and they have occupied a very privileged part of the table for their own merits. I hope they don’t have any problems and remain in the division”.
Warning sign for those on the bench: “I’ve got a great squad and that makes it easier for me to make changes. This game against Eibar was the only game I was worried about. We won and we deserved to win”.
Slow rhythm of Barça’s game: “Slow? Ask Eibar if we play slow. We put in a great game and gave it the importance it deserved”.
