Mandzukic: "There was no bite"

Mario Mandzukic has taken to Twitter this morning, defending Dani Carvajal in assuring that the Real Madrid defender did not bite him during last night’s Champions League tie at the Calderón.

"Yesterday’s game was tough with both teams giving their all, but for me there was no controversy, no bite, nothing". This was the message posted by Mandzukic on his Twitter account.

TV images showed a tussle between both players in the Real Madrid box and many viewers interpreted this as an attempted bite by the Madrid player.
