Munir El Haddadi is now just another member of the Spain squad. The FC Barcelona and Spain Under-21 forward completed his first training session with the senior players this morning in Las Rozas, after being drafted in as a replacement for the injury-hit Diego Costa.
Saturday’s session was held behind closed doors. Sergio Ramos was extra attentive to the teenage Munir during the workout, the Barça player was treated to a round of applause by his team mates as he stepped out onto the main practice pitch at the Ciudad de Fútbol. The session lasted just over an hour with Vicente Del Bosque and his coaching staff taking the players through strategic moves and work on set-pieces. The coach did not use today’s session to run through a practice match with the team he has in mind for Monday’s European qualifier against Macedonia. The Spain squad will return for the second of a double session at 19:30 hours this evening.
