"If Madrid are God's team, Atleti are the team of the humble"

Juanfran, the Atlético full-back, sent a message to Sergio Ramos on the programme ‘Al Primer Toque’ on the radio station Onda Cero. Prior to Saturday’s Club World Cup final, Ramos said that if San Lorenzo were the Pope’s team, Real Madrid were God’s team.

Response to Sergio Ramos: “If Real Madrid are God’s team, Atlético are the team of the humble and the hardworking and those with a lot of heart. I don’t know if God is all of that.”

Atlético’s year: “I am more about making ratings at the end of the year but 2014 has been very nice. In any case, I think that 2015 is going to be better, and Atlético are calm. The team is trained to be like so because of the commitment that we have, the coach, the players, the way we train. Next year will be just as good or better.”
