Barça, 1 point from a possible 12 at bogey ground Anoeta

Anoeta is a bogey ground for Barça; in the past four seasons, they have been unable to beat Real Sociedad in San Sebastián. Out of a possible 12 points in the four most recent encounters, Barça have taken just one point.

One constant in those matches was that Barcelona was the first team to score but Real Sociedad rallied and turned the score around. Ifrán and Xabi Prieto found the net in the April 2011 meeting which La Real won 2-1, late goals from Agirretxe and Griezmann gained a 2-2 draw for the hosts the following September, the Txuri-urdin won the next meeting 3-2 and the most recent, in February this year, 3-2 with Griezmann and Zurutuza on target and Alex Song turning the ball into his own net.

Traditionally, Barça have always suffered in San Sebastián – in previous years at the ol Atocha stadium and more recently at Anoeta. The two teams have met 67 times in Donosti with La Real winning 27 of those games and Barcelona, just 17 – games which are known for being emotional and fiercely-contested.
