Torres scored in a practice game before his presentation

Atlético held a training session in Majadahonda on Sunday morning and Simeone arranged a practice match against a team made up a players from the youth ranks of the club. Fernando Torres played just hours before his presentation and he scored one of the three goals. For the first half, ‘El Niño’ was partnered by Raúl Jiménez in attack.


Torres began to take on board some of the tactical moves Cholo wants to see from him. He was seen putting pressure on his opponents to try and win the ball back, something his coach is going to demand from him. For the goal, Torres received a pass from his strike partner, controlled it well and place it near the corner. Vizcaíno spoke to him at half-time to help correct some of his actions on the pitch.


In the second half of the contest it was Raúl García who played closer to the front. After the match, Simeone approached Torres to tell him some moves he wants him to try. The coach said after the match against Levante that he wanted to see him in action on the training pitch today to get an idea of how he is.
