Barça delegation to meet Pope Francis in Rome

FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is to meet the pope with a delegation from the Catalan club during a visit to Rome on February 5.

The Pontiff is a confessed fan of football and of sport in general and a supporter of San Lorenzo in his native Argentina. Pope Francis is also a huger admirer of Leo Messi and the Albiceleste. In the coming days the club is expected to release further details about the visit, which will take place during a rest week for Barcelona after their recent cup fixtures.
